Children Discover Joy of Helping Other Children
Volunteers from Little Helping Hands, an organization in Austin that pairs families with children who want to "get involved" with charities that need help, spent time packing clothes for our 'Hope Totes' program. "One of the best lessons we can teach our children is how to care for those less fortunate. The kids from Little Helping Hands not only provided a wonderful service but they learned how important it is to do something meanigful for another child," said For Every Child, Inc. President Julie Petrovic. "I think they had fun, too. My two girls are asking when we can do it again!"
The 80 totes prepared by Little Helping Hands volunteers during June and July will go to foster children in the Greater Austin Area. One of the volunteers is a foster mother herself and told the group that too often children arrive at her home with nothing. A lucky few have a trash bag with one or two items they were able to grab as they were taken from their homes. A 'Hope Tote' is the perfect thing for a child like this because it has three to four days of clothing, undergarments, pajamas and toiletries. We have also been blessed with gorgeous hand made blankets, made by generous volunteers, to include for the smaller children. Our thanks to Little Helping Hands and the families who came to pack the 'Hope Totes'. Is there anything better than kids helping kids?

PGA TOUR Wives Donate $3,000
"This generous donation will not only allow us to put together several totes of new clothes, pajamas and toiletries but will also allow us to purchase jackets that so many of these children need, but are going with out," For Every Child, Inc. president Julie Petrovic said while accepting the $3,000 check from the PGA TOUR Wives Association.
The PGA TOUR Wives Association (PTWA) is also a 501 (C) 3 charitable organization that raises funds for children and their families nationwide. PTWA president Amy Wilson says, "On behalf of the PTWA, we are honored to support For Every Child. Their mission is right at the heart of the work we do and the work we support. We know this gift will directly impact the lives of many children. We are pleased to be a part of that impact."

AUCTIONED Round of Golf with Robby Krieger and Tim Petrovic for $3250
Tim Petrovic, professional golfer on the PGA TOUR, and Robby Krieger, guitarist of the Doors and Rock n Roll Hall of Fame member, recently auctioned off a round of golf with them at Riviera Country Club in L.A. to benefit For Every Child, Inc. The winning bid was $3250. For Every Child, Inc. is very grateful to both men for giving their time to help raise funds to purchase clothing and food for needy children.
