As a young girl and a Girl Scout, Julie learned the importance of serving in your community. She has enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels, making meals for the Ronald McDonald House and various soup kitchens, visiting shut ins at a nursing home and volunteering with her children for Sunrise, a domestic violence shelter. She has continued the tradition of volunteering with her girls at For Every Child, Inc. During Julie and Tim’s sponsorship of a Kids Cafe program and her service as various soup kitchens, Julie was dismayed at the high number of children going hungry. Although she feels no one deserves to go hungry and no one should be with out clothing, it is especially upsetting when it is a child suffering. Knowing that a child can not get food or clothing without help from an adult spurred her interest in starting the 501 (C) 3 charity.
